Hey again!
I love hearing stories about revival. It stirs me up and I just can't get enough! If u don't know what I'm talking about, go read books on Azuza street or The Jesus Movement. Cool things happen when we chase after God. Signs and wonder begin to break out healings are common place and salvations are everywhere! When we honestly want nothing more than to sit on Daddy God's lap and experience his goodness, fun things start to happen.
Tommy Tenny, in his book 'Chasing after God' said this:
"If we're not careful, we can become so interested in developing the 'cult of the comfortable' with our comfortable pastor, our comfortable church buildings and our comfortable circle of friends that we forget about the thousands of discontented, wounded and dying people that pass by our comfortable church every day!"
Many churches are scrambling like mad trying to get ready for this HUGE harvest that is on our doorstep. Sweeping out the spiritual cobwebs and making room for God to move. We seem to have this impression that God only pours out what we are able to contain.
Luke 6:38 says: "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
The whole point of Revival is that no matter how hard you try you are never going to be ready for it! It's just plain impossible! Getting a bigger cup will not stop him spilling blessings all over the floor, the table and your nice new shirt. The trick is to share the new wine with as many thirsty people as you possibly can! It'll be messy and you won't be able to control it but It'll be worth it!

Presence of God
Sup people!
I said in my last post that I like to hang out with God. This is true and I make no excuses for it! I think now though, I should probably talk more about what that looks like today. The glory of God is a powerful thing. It changes lives and births passion in the most unlikely of people. You never know what God is going to do next! We've all heard the expression 'another trick up my sleeve' right? Well God has sleeves so massive you would not believe! He's always up to something new! Being enveloped in his love is the best feeling in the world!
The glory of God is kinda like the quickest road to school each day. Once you've been down it once it's pretty hard to get lost along that road. The more often you use that same route to get to where you're going the more you get to know that road. You get to the point where you could walk down that same road backwards, blindfolded. Practice makes perfect! Once we've been in Gods presence once we know the way back, we know where to find him!
We need to know God, not know about him! I know my friends. If I come knocking on their door asking if they want to come out and play football they are going to say "yeah, sure!" I know about the Prime Minister. If I go knocking on his door though, I'm gonna get nicked. See the difference? Christianity is not a religion it's a relationship. If we don't know the person we are living our lives for then we are standing on a rotten foundation.
The good thing about God is that he's not very hard to find. If you are a christian Jesus lives on the inside of you... He's not really hiding from us is he? So what are you waiting for? The tangible presence of God is on your doorstep!

Hello world!
Hello world!
This is my first blog post and so I figured it would be appropriate to introduce myself. My name is Jack, I am fifteen years old and I am a church kid. For those who don't know what this means: a church kid is one of those kids who's parents bring them along to church when they are little and all through their teenage years. I love God and I love hanging out with him. Some people think that is crazy, I don't think so.
God is an amazing person who is actually interested in our lives! If I were the king of heaven looking down at my life I'd probably just go "meh" and go find something more interesting to do. Yet God is constantly watching and waiting for us to turn our affections toward him! That sounds kinda weird but It's true! God is like the loving dad waiting to catch his three year old son's eye and see if he can't win a smile... Cool right?
Jesus said that unless you become like little children, you cannot even enter the kingdom of God. We are all called, by God, to be childish. I figure I have a bit of an advantage. I pull pranks on my friends every now and again, eat lots of chocolate and watch movies like 'Despicable Me' and 'Wreck it Ralph' (although I don't mind a bit of Star Wars every now and then!) It's probably a lot harder to be child-like when you're all grown up though... To all the other 'church kids' out there: Don't lose your head start!
